Peter

Mark 10:28 Peter said to him, “We have left everything to follow you!”

Life and Doctrine

Truth vs. Lies

1 John 1:6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.

Jeremiah 5:3 O LORD, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain; you crushed them, but they refused correction. They made their faces harder than stone and refused to repent.

Justice

Proverbs 28:5 Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.

Deuteronomy 16:20 Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Revelation 19:11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.

Malachi 3:5 “So I will come near to you for judgment. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive aliens of justice, but do not fear me,” says the LORD Almighty.

Isaiah 59:14-15 So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter. Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.

Proverbs 19:28 A corrupt witness mocks at justice, and the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil.

Proverbs 21:15 When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.

Joy to Joy

1 Chronicles 16:33 Then the trees of the forest will sing, they will sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.

Isaiah 55:12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Excuses

Psalms 25:3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.

John 15:22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.
